Growing up Lil Lady

When does it happen? When your Lil girl turns into a young woman its a wild and crazy realization that you will never have that lil to hold your hand when crossing the street, or to buy an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck, or to be tucked in with kisses and a prayer at bedtime. Its over and now a new journey has began. Its adulthood and its not always easy for Mom & Dad to watch.
Shonda is my daughter and I'm watching her turn into a beautiful woman before my very eyes. She is a magnificent example of how a young woman should be growing up in a world so fasted paced. She is taking her time with life and enjoying the simple pleasures, but its still too fast for me. Nineteen years have come and gone and this June 1st she will turn TWENTY. That is such a big number for for a Lil Lady.

She asked me to do this shoot so she could have some photos that expressed how she felt inside. The woman inside is coming to the surface.

About Me

My photo
Louisville, Kentucky, United States
Married and mother of four beautiful children. My life is as busy as a circus. I am always on the go with my family but my photography is as much part of me as my family. Its may passion and joy. I love to put smiles on everyones faces and my photography is an outlet as well as a fix for my own happiness. I love my children and they were the ones who pulled the photographer out of me. As most young mothers we are constantly snapping a camera to capture those many first moments. But friends and family saw something in my photos that made them believe in my ability to create such works of beauty that led me here today. To God I give many thanks for my talents and my blessings. He is the one who enables me to do what I do and he will always be first in my life. I just pray that my camera will always capture joy not sadness and my works will always be appreciated and admired by those who reflect in my lens.
